i had a wonderful saturday, a pity it had to end so quickly. i miss the warm cuddles, i always do. today feels like a monday, only because leaving was always the prelude to mondays. april is ending too soon, the months fly by too quickly.

the last monday was exciting. harp concert at the lee foundation theatre and my first ever dinning experience at a sushi bar. it was the most enjoyable meal ever, chatting and watching the sushi chef personally make the dishes for you. a new addition to my list of favourites would be the pufferfish. i got to touch a flying fish's fin, squid backbone, crab shell and brought home a snail's shell.

i m looking forward to next monday though(: it ll be fourteen months and counting! i would really reallyyy love a picnic but it doesnt exactly feel very safe in the current context.

this week will be practices, classes, uni submission, german, girls night out, grocery shopping, buttercake and... my surprise package which i am feeling highly enthusiastic about(:

spending the afternoon sipping coffee and mapping out our university plans while facing an old alley brought out the old charm of chinatown which i had never felt. my days have been filled with good company, good food, good old memories and many more new fond moments to add(ramli burgerr). hehe this week we got to do all the stuf we enjoy- a soak in the pool(i wouldnt forget the bumpy water ride! plus the best thing we ve ever done), cooking our pasta dinner, shopping, lazy afternoons, sleepover, taping videos:D

i ve been watching travel and living for the whole of tonight. exotic looking destinations and luscious food. greek pastries with lots of cinnamon and pistachios, pitabread, barbecues along the cyprus coastline, seaside cafes and sexy sounding flawless greek. food safari gave the all-time three italian rules for preparing the best pasta and had the most fantastic looking tiramisu.

i feel so lazy nowadays. i guess it s the early 8.15am driving lessons from the past week. the weekend was fun. friday was shopping and paulaners with weixin(bff sticking together while the boyfriends are in army!). i got marshmellows and maple cookies which i ridiculously hid in shampoo bottles for fluf to sneak in hehe. sat: happy bday angel! it was nice just seeing everyone. sat reminds me of the wind- the wind on our walk from clarke quay to boat quay, the evening breeze after dinner at brotzeit. i finally found out how people make creme brulee at fre(n)sh(;

today i bumped into my favouritee neighbour and embarrassed her by blowing kisses at her when i left. when s the next sushi tei/tamako lunch! i packed little candy treats for my piano lesson today and it really does work wonders. haha the little things that make all of us smile.

i spent the night reading a novel that i bought months ago but never had time to complete it. it s early in the morning and i almost forgot how cool and crisp the air felt. it s been a mere few months ago i woke up this early daily and caught my morning rides with tammy- which i greatly appreciated and still do. here i am again, preparing my luchbox breakfasts as usual. i kind of miss school. not the monotonous tutorials and boring physics lectures of course. i miss the mornings i spent sitting in the canteen waiting for my hot tea, gp lessons, the special common breaks, bel's yummy food(the twin hotdogs, potato salad, butter shortcakes, chocolate banana cake, creamcheese tarts...)

i m watching over the griller to make sure the timer doesnt keep ringing or else i ll get weird questions on what i m doing so early. bacon and cheese sausages never smelt this good!

my first driving lesson today. it was pretty fun(except for the fact that i nearly banged a car's boot) and the instructor was really nice. i love evenings like these, with the wind gently blowing my blue curtains and music playing softly. i think this was my idea of the after-alevel days. idyllic stayhome days doing nothing in particular, reading new novels and going out without rushing for time. i enjoy spending my after music lessons' time walking around, browsing at cookbooks, looking at candies in the supermarket and the colourful mannequins which adorn the shops- making a mental note of what i would like to get during the next shopping spree. if only fluf was around, it ll be so much more fun. it seems to be about to rain, time to snuggle in bed with carebear while watching the sky at seven(:

these past three days seemed like a dream. i felt strangely lost for a moment when i got home tonight. suddenly it dawned on me that it ll be back to mundane life(i cant really distinguish which is which). the separate lives left me a little disorientated. i m dependent on the phone calls to keep me sane every night. everything else thrown aside for the weekends, the magical days. once again, lost to the sea of green. it s the cruel feeling of bestowing you with a gem and then stealing it back time and time again.

i was reading an issue of vanilla, featuring someone who took a year off from everything to travel around south america with her companion. i wanna do that some day too, backpack europe.

my tastebuds cant get enough of chocolate. i wasnt exactly a chocolate fan(it gives me a sore throat, and it still does) until not too long ago. and i seem to have an endless supply of chocolates in my fridge. it must be those chocolate fondues that i ve become so fond of, max brenner truffles and fluf's godiva choc. my next baking session- heartshaped chocolate fondant topped with rum & raisins(hopefully i ll be able to buy rum from dfs next wed), especially for my favourite when he books out next week(:

these past few days have been especially wonderful. the best in this new year. monday was jap food with the temperamental chef, eastern promise(brutal but interesting), hilton's hibiscuses cheesecake, wee nam kee chicken rice with yummy porkchop and our nightly stroll. although we always grumble about how small singapore can be, it s amazing how much you can enjoy yourself. army shoppin at beach road(i want to try the hawker's wafer and choc fondue) and muji, haji lane, indulgz, pluck(my favourite so far!), videotaking!, pratass made my tuesday. today we were the tourists and made our way to the underwater world and dolphin(dough-fin) lagoon! i never thought seeing fishes were so much fun. despite the drizzle, touching pufferfishes and watching sharks mate kept us on our toes. homemade sandwiches and cheese sausages, movenpick sorbets, superdogg, warm homely dinner left me with sweet memories to keep me company, especially for the next two weeks. thank you zhaoyao(: you make me feel special

golden gate bridge, fisherman's wharf and clam chowder sounds amazing. i remember seeing the iconic golden gate bridge on an episode of charmed. wear your mittens! stay home sunday feels pretty therapeutic. this week felt tiring. it s been four hours since i woke up, and i think i m retreating to bed again soon along with all my squashy companions. i passed morning cycling (rather learning how to cycle) at the reservoir with my dad to sleep in and steamboat dinner with my grandparents to sleep more. maybe it s not only for sleep but also a quiet day staying in. cosy stay home sundays have always been one of my favorites. i cant wait for tammy to come home after attending the wedding. i miss ordering shaker fries at a time when everyone s sleeping and hanging out by the poolside at midnight. my essay s making progress(: back to bed for now!

afternoon felt bad. i really should practice more. i spent noon at the esplanade library trying to dig up relevant books for my research essay. ended up signing a premium membership in order to borrow a single book out of the library. i think a mosquito bit me on my left ear. and.. i miss my boyfriend:( i returned home in the evening, saw a glimpse of tammy on the way, and couldnt resist the temptation but to open my cream christmas box, taking out the letter which was meant to be read tomorrow. you must be in the plane to san francisco now and it feels soo quiet without you here. i have a strong urge to tear open all the eleven letters and my christmas present now. well piano practice and my 1800 words essay will keep me busy. i bet you are resting on the sq cushion(the same tiny purple one i stole from my trip to hongkong hehe), cant wait til you come back. have fun(:

i had one of the sweetest days ever today(: it was early christmas celebration with fluf at angus steakhouse for lunch. the food was too great; tender steak, japanese style spagetti, tiramisu. watchin the smile on fluf's face was real sweet as he unwrapped his presents. it was cosy sitting at the corner, by the window. we went to harrods, got a tin of grapefruit candy, watched warlords, slipped into the mango sale, shopped for shades and had junkfood for dinner at forum macs. we wore our santa hats all around and although it might seem like the sillest thing ever, it didnt matter. hehe not forgetting vanilla icecream on someone's bear nose. and our favourite peirce was the warmest spot to end the night. pooof! i m a happy girl today(:

it just dawned on me how close I am to the end of this year. Truthfully, it was the chapter I had been longing for so badly since I started college. It s quite ironic, thinking back now, to yearn for the end when it was just the beginning. This year seemed to fly past the quickest for me. And it has been the most significant phase thus far. It s the turmoil of school life amalgamated with the daily lessons of life- a mixture of both the warm smiles and tears. On hindsight, I guess life has a way twisting itself in the sense that you lose some and you gain something else. A fair trade perhaps. Many years down the road, if you ask me what I remember most vividly about the year I turned eighteen, I probably would recall the a levels, the dynamic friends, and of course meeting that someone special. Transitions are always followed by changes, some for the better and others obstacles there to hinder the path. Ephemeral people leaving after making their imprints in my life, but there will always be those who I ll always hold dear to my heart. The constants in life, as I ll like to call them, to help me remain grounded and experience the joys and pains. Sometimes it s too late to correct a situation or either it s something I m rendered powerless to change, in all I think things are that way for a reason. I might not comprehend why at this point in time now but yes, we are used as pawns within the, sometimes cruel, game of life (this reminded of dido’s tragic fate in the opera dido and aeneas).

I haven’t written anything as much as this since my history paper phew. Well it s time to snuggle in bed and I m really looking forward to breakfast with my favourite. I shant be silly sad cos he s leaving for the states so soon but be happy for him(: I cant wait for Tuesday to see the look on his face when he opens my Christmas present. It s really a very heartwarming feeling to give.
